Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Renable handles, why, and what your rights are. It covers three things: this website (renable.com), the Renable platform (app.renable.com), and the Renable Options browser extension. We have tried to write it the way we would want to read it: plainly.

Who we are

Renable Marketing AB, Swedish Reg. No. 556660-4970 ("Renable", "we"), is a Swedish company based in Gothenburg. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For anything privacy-related, write to us at support@renable.com.

This website

renable.com consists of static pages. It has no accounts, runs no third-party analytics or advertising scripts, loads its fonts from our own servers, and sets one cookie of its own, to remember the language of the site (more under "Cookies" below). We measure how the site is used with our own anonymous analytics, described in the next section.

If you use the contact form, we receive what you submit: your first and last name, email address, company name, message, and the consent box you tick. The submission is delivered to our inbox as an email through Amazon Web Services, together with the IP address it was sent from. We use it to respond to you and, since you asked us to, to tell you about our products and services. You can unsubscribe from those messages at any time by replying to one of them or writing to support@renable.com.

Three case-study pages embed a video hosted on YouTube. When the player loads, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. Nothing else on this site is served by a third party.

Our hosting infrastructure keeps standard, short-lived access logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and operations.

How we measure this website

We want to know which pages and channels bring us customers, so renable.com sends a small set of anonymous events to our own servers (api.app.renable.com), not to an analytics vendor: the page viewed, the site that referred you, the language of the page, how far down the page you read, clicks through to app.renable.com, whether you sent us a contact form, and which variant of an on-page experiment you were shown.

This is cookieless and anonymous by design. A random session id lives in your browser's session storage (sessionStorage) only and disappears when the tab closes. We set no cookie for it, use no local storage, do no fingerprinting, and keep no persistent identifier. We store no IP address and no browser details with these events. That is why this site shows no consent banner. Crawlers are dropped, and our internal preview copies of the site send nothing.

If you create an account, we record which renable.com page and which external referrer (a search engine, LinkedIn, and so on) brought you to us, linked to your account, so we understand which content and channels bring customers. This is the only point where the otherwise anonymous session becomes linked to a person. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how people find Renable.

Analytics events are deleted after 400 days.

The Renable platform

When you create an account on app.renable.com we handle the data needed to run the service for you:

  • Account data: your name, email address, and sign-in credentials. If you sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Facebook, we receive your name and email address from that provider; we never see your password there.
  • Organization data: the workspace you belong to, its members, and what happens in it (for example who edited or published something), so teams can work together and see who did what.
  • Billing data: subscriptions and payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never store them.
  • Your content: the product feeds, images, review content, and marketing assets you bring into Renable. This is mostly business data about products, but it can include personal data (for example a reviewer's name inside review content you import).
  • Usage data: how the product is used (pages visited, features used), so we can find problems and improve the product.

We use this data to provide and improve the service, to support you, to bill you, and to send service-related messages. The legal bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and improving the service, legal obligations (such as bookkeeping), and consent where we ask for it.

Your feed data is used for one thing: running your account, that is importing, improving, and publishing your products. It is never used to train AI models for other customers, and it is never sold or shared for advertising or any other purpose.

AI processing

Renable uses AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Replicate, and Runpod) to generate and improve product content, for example ad copy and product imagery. What we send them is the product content needed for the task. We use these providers under API terms that do not permit them to use your data to train their models.

Ad platform connections

When you connect an ad platform (such as Meta, Google, or TikTok) to your account, you authorize Renable to access it on your behalf, for example to import a product catalog, publish a product feed, or switch which Renable design a catalog ad uses. The access credentials those platforms issue are stored securely on our servers, are never exposed in your browser, and are used only to operate the integrations you set up. You can disconnect a platform at any time from your account settings.

Service providers

We use a small set of service providers to run Renable:

  • Amazon Web Services: hosting and storage, in the EU (Frankfurt region), and delivery of this website's contact form.
  • Stripe: subscription billing and payments.
  • OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Replicate, Runpod: AI content generation, as described above.
  • Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta: product analytics and advertising measurement inside the platform (not on this website). These run only with your consent; we do not currently ask for that consent, so today they do not run at all.
  • YouTube (Google): the video player on our case-study pages.
  • Meta, Google, TikTok, and other ad platforms: only when you connect them to your account.

Renable's own data lives in the EU. Some providers process data outside the EU; where they do, transfers rely on recognized safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable to each provider. If you need a data processing agreement or provider details for your own compliance work, contact us.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, and at rest with AWS-managed encryption on the storage that holds it. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to run the service.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When an account is closed, we delete or anonymize its data within a reasonable period, except what we must keep for legal reasons (such as bookkeeping records). Contact-form emails are kept for as long as we need them to handle your request. Infrastructure logs are kept only briefly.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we process it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Write to support@renable.com and we will help. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority; in Sweden that is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

The Renable Options browser extension

Renable Options is a Chrome extension for Meta Ads Manager. It shows which Renable design a catalog ad runs and lets you switch it, and it opens Aimée, the AI agent inside Renable, in a side panel beside the ads you are working on. It reads only the ad and ad account identifiers, and what you have selected, from the page address, never page content and never your Facebook session, and it talks only to Renable. It has its own detailed policy: the Renable Options policy.

Google API Services

Renable Marketing AB’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies

This website (renable.com) sets one cookie of its own, renable_locale. It holds nothing but a language code and is set on every page to the language of the page you are viewing, and again when you switch language, so you land on the right version next time. It lasts one year. It is not used for analytics or advertising, and we set no other cookies on this site. Our own website analytics, described above, sets no cookie at all.

The YouTube player embedded on our three case-study pages may set YouTube's own cookies when it loads. Those cookies belong to Google, not to us, and are governed by Google's privacy policy.

The platform (app.renable.com) uses strictly necessary browser storage to keep you signed in; that is part of using the service. The analytics and measurement tools listed above would run on consent, which we do not currently ask for. If either of those changes, we will update this page first.
