Microsoft AdvertisingGet your whole catalog onto Microsoft Shopping

Bing, Edge, Microsoft Start and Copilot reach the desktop shopper your Google campaigns do not. Renable builds the Microsoft feed from your catalog, checks Microsoft’s own rules on every product before you publish, and keeps it fresh so nothing quietly expires.

The audience

The shopper your Google campaigns don’t reach

Desktop, at work, with Edge and Bing as the default. Older and with more to spend, as of mid-2026. One Microsoft catalog puts your products in front of them on four surfaces.

Copilot shopping

Copilot reads the same catalog when it recommends products. Buying inside Copilot is a separate Microsoft program with its own gate.

Already on Google?

Two ways onto Microsoft. One of them checks the feed

Microsoft can import your Google Merchant store by itself. One store, matching domains, and the imported offers expire after 30 days. Good for a first look. A Renable Microsoft channel is built for Microsoft: its rules checked on every product, and a hosted feed that is always there to fetch.

Where Microsoft differs from GoogleWhat a Google passthrough doesWhat the Microsoft channel does
AvailabilitySends “backorder”, which Microsoft has no value forWrites in stock, out of stock or preorder, the three Microsoft reads
ImagesPasses your store’s WebP links, which Microsoft rejectsServes every image as JPG or PNG from Renable’s own hosting
File shapeA CSV, which Microsoft does not acceptGoogle-formatted XML or tab-delimited text, the two shapes Microsoft takes
ExpiryA feed not fetched for 30 days goes darkA stable URL Microsoft fetches daily, refreshed every hour on our side

None of these throw an error you would notice. They shrink the catalog by a few percent and leave you wondering where the products went.

Editorial review

Microsoft reviews every change. Get it right the first time

A new title, price, image or link goes back through Microsoft’s review. Usually a day, up to three business days on a second pass. So the pre-publish checks are not a nicety. They are the difference between a catalog that is live tomorrow and one that spends the week in review.

Diagnostics

“Why did my products expire on Microsoft?”

Products go dark on Microsoft without an error you would notice. Four causes cover almost all of it. Renable catches three of them before Microsoft sees the feed, names the products, and Aimée drafts the fix. You review it and publish.

The feed was not fetched for 30 days
Microsoft expires a feed 30 days after it last read it. A file uploaded by hand starts that clock. A hosted URL Microsoft fetches daily resets it every day.
An availability value Microsoft does not read
Google accepts backorder. Microsoft only knows in stock, out of stock and preorder. The product reads as unavailable and stops serving.
An image in a format Microsoft rejects
A WebP link from your store fails the image check. Renable’s hosted images are always JPG or PNG, so bind the image to those.
A change waiting in editorial review
A changed title or price goes back through review. Nothing is wrong. Merchant Center shows the status.
Some “availability” values don’t meet Microsoft’s requirements
31 of 1,208 products in “Microsoft Shopping” have an “availability” value Microsoft doesn’t accept, e.g. “backorder”. Accepted values: in stock, out of stock, preorder.
Ask Aimée

The warning as it appears on the channel, for illustration.

Aimée

Why do 31 products fail the availability check on Microsoft?

They are on backorder. Google accepts that value, Microsoft has no such value and drops the product. I’ve drafted a rule on the Microsoft channel only: backorder becomes preorder there. Your Google feed keeps backorder.

SetupAdd Microsoft to a client in one conversation

Ask Aimée for a Microsoft channel and she starts from the Google mapping the client already has, applies Microsoft’s own rules on top, and tells you which products needed changing. A draft, published only when you say so.

Publish and Renable hosts the feed at a stable URL. Paste it into Microsoft Merchant Center once, set the daily fetch, and every hourly update flows through on its own.

Aimée

Add Microsoft for Pinecraft. They’re on Google Shopping already.

Two ways. Microsoft can import the Google Merchant store directly, one store with matching domains, and those offers expire after 30 days. If you want Microsoft’s own checks and a feed that never expires, I’ll build a Microsoft channel from the Google mapping.

Microsoft Shopping, answered

Why did my Microsoft products expire?
Microsoft expires a feed 30 days after it last read it, and the products stop publishing. It happens most often after someone uploaded a file by hand and moved on. A feed hosted at a URL that Microsoft fetches daily never runs out. Renable hosts yours and refreshes it every hour.
I’m on Google Shopping. Do I need a Renable channel for Microsoft?
Not to get started. Microsoft can import your Google Merchant store directly, one store with matching domains. Its offers expire after 30 days. A Renable Microsoft channel adds Microsoft’s own rules checked on every product, availability values Microsoft reads, images in the formats it accepts, and a hosted feed that is always there to fetch.
Can I keep my Microsoft feed and add to it?
Yes, with a supplemental feed. Microsoft’s supplemental feed reads a short, closed list of fields: product id, title, description, the five custom labels, promotion id, size and colour. Anything else in it is ignored, so only those fields are worth sending.
Will my products show in Copilot?
Copilot reads Microsoft’s product catalog when it recommends products, so a clean and complete Merchant Center feed is what makes yours available to it. Whether Copilot shows them is Microsoft’s decision. Buying inside Copilot is a separate Microsoft program with its own store settings and eligibility.
Does Microsoft Shopping run product videos?
No. Microsoft’s catalog has no video field, so there is nothing for a product video to ride on. You can send up to ten images per product, and Microsoft shows them when it chooses to. Renable’s per-product video goes to Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and Pinterest.
What does it cost?
30 free days on the 500-feed-item plan, every channel included. After that a flat price per feed item your rules keep, no percentage of ad spend, unlimited seats. If 100 feed items is all you need, switch down to the Free plan before the 30 days are up. See pricing.
